Since 2014 we support 14 families in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Association Léon has two ambassadors based here: Irène Bostsarron and Jean-Marc Mignot; they identify needs for us, check the background and give us recommendations. With their help we were introduced to Dat Viet organization, which supports families affected by leprosy.
A child whose parent has leprosy has very little chance to attend school as he would need to provide for the family household. Dat Viet recognized 14 families where the children could not attend school and had to work to care of the family. Since 2014 Association Leon proudly – and thanks to the support of our generous donors – fund the tuition costs for these children, giving them the opportunity to attend school, inspite of the severe illness of their parents.
